About Hand in Hand

About Hand in Hand support school community group

A tragic loss of EEB2 student in May 2021 has shaken the parent community. We all felt the need to better support each other and our children. We wanted to inspire a more open dialogue to be better equipped with knowledge and ideas that could help our children grow more confident, empathic, creative and joyful.  Since the change always comes from us first and our close environment, some of us came up with the idea to establish an informal discussion group for parents - Hand in Hand.

Coming from Ukraine and having a privilege to be a member of the European school community in Brussels, I realise that our parents' network is a treasures source of various and up-to-date knowledge and experiences. It would be lovely to make a greater use of this potential through connecting better with each other.

The focus of the activities and discussions of Hand in Hand will be the wellbeing of our children. It will be a platform to listen, discuss and support each other both with difficult and inspiring topics.

If you are a member of the European school parent community and have a talent or knowledge you want to share or and an idea for the next Hand in Hand, please drop us a line to eebhandinhand@gmail.com

Sincerely,
Anna Yavorska, Hand in Hand coordinator
